Product description
Bray® Series M4 severe service ball valves are specifically engineered for isolation in vents and drains applications within the power industry. They are extensively tested to ensure reliable zero-leakage shutoff in high-pressure, high-temperature steam and superheated steam environments, providing maintenance-free performance under the most extreme conditions.
Series M4 valves are ideal for use in conventional coal and combined cycle power plants, nuclear balance-of-plant systems, co-generation, and critical functions such as boiler, feedwater, header, and turbine drains, superheater vents, steam drum vents, sootblower isolation, bypass line isolation, and economizer header drains. They are also suitable for specialized duties, including power-operated relief valves and sky vents.
These valves feature a robust one-piece unibody construction, heavy-duty drivetrain, 360° mate-lapped ball and seat, optional HVOF or spray & fuse hard coatings, and live-loaded packing with Belleville springs. Matching materials and coatings for the ball and seat provide consistent thermal expansion, reducing seat stress and ensuring reliable shutoff in high-cycle service.
Manufactured in Bray’s ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, Series M4 valves offer full material traceability, comply with PED 97/23/EC Annex III, Module H, TSG, CRN, and are optionally available with TDP-1 compliance. In-stock and ready for fast global delivery for maintenance, turnarounds, and new plant construction.
